Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will need to make your way to our designated Volvo pick-up point independently. Here, you will board a comfortable overnight Volvo bus for your journey to Manali, situated approximately 553 km from Delhi. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive as you travel through the night, arriving in Manali the next morning.
upon reaching Manali, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can freshen up and relax. Later, embark on a local sightseeing tour. Your first stop will be the Hadimba Temple, renowned for its unique four-tiered pagoda roof and intricately carved doorway, dating back to 1553. Continue to the Club House, offering various recreational facilities including a roller skating rink, billiards rooms, a library, and a bar. Visit the Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and Vashisht, famous for its hot springs and ancient temples dedicated to Sage Vashisth and Lord Rama. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay. Additional local attractions include the Ghatothkach Temple and a vibrant local market.
After an early breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Kaza, the gateway to Spiti Valley. This route takes you across the famous Rohtang Pass and the dramatic Kunzum Pass, offering spectacular views of the Himalayan landscape. Arrive in Kaza by evening and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.
Start the day with breakfast and set out to explore the remote villages surrounding Kaza. Visit Hikkim, which is home to one of the world’s highest post offices. Continue to the impressive Key Monastery, perched atop a hill, and then head to Kibber Village, known for its stone houses and scenic views.Optional: Hike to Langza Village, famous for its fossils and the towering Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Return to your hotel in Kaza for the night.
Following breakfast, prepare for a day of mesmerizing natural beauty as you head towards Chandertal Lake, one of Spiti Valley’s most stunning attractions. The journey takes you across the Kunzum Pass, a high mountain pass dividing Lahaul and Spiti districts. The pass offers spectacular vistas and is home to the revered Kunzum Mata temple, dedicated to the local deity, where many travelers stop to pay homage. The drive takes you through varied terrain, riding alongside the winding Chandra River, surrounded by rugged and muddy terrains that are both challenging and exhilarating for bikers and drivers alike. Jispa is a peaceful town that offers comfortable Swiss-style camps for overnight stays. Arriving here in the late afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the stunning views around the camp. As night falls, indulge in a scrumptious dinner and spend the evening stargazing, marveling at the clear Himalayan sky that seems to stretch endlessly above you.
After a hearty breakfast, embark on one of the most thrilling stretches of the journey. You will cross the Baralacha Pass, towering at 16,616 feet, which connects Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul district to Ladakh. This high-altitude pass offers some of the most spectacular views of barren landscapes, glacial moraines, and snow-capped peaks. The route includes the challenging Tanglang La Pass (17,480 ft.), Naki La Pass (15,647 ft.), and Lachung La Pass (16,616 ft.), each with its own breathtaking panoramas. Along the way, experience the iconic Moore Plains—vast open stretches of gravel plains—and navigate the dizzying 21 hairpin bends known as the Gata Loops. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Spend your evening at leisure exploring the vibrant Leh Mall Road, where local shops, cafes, and street food offer a taste of Ladakhi culture. Settle down for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day sightseeing tour of the Sham Valley. Start by visiting the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred Sikh pilgrimage site nestled in the Himalayas. Next, visit the Magnetic Hill, a famous spot where vehicles appear to roll uphill due to a unique optical illusion. Explore the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, where the two rivers meet in a stunning natural display of colors. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Pangong Lake. You can choose either the Shayok River route or the Wari La route—both offer stunning views of the rugged Ladakh terrain. Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, take some time to appreciate its mesmerizing beauty. The lake, which stretches from India to Tibet, is known for its ever-changing colors and tranquil surroundings. You can take photographs, enjoy the serene landscape, and relax by the lake. Spend the night at a lakeside camp near Pangong.
After breakfast by the scenic Pangong Lake, begin your journey back to Leh. Drive through the awe-inspiring Chang La Pass (17,590 feet), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The route offers panoramic views of the Ladakhi landscape, dotted with mountains and valleys. Upon reaching Leh, check in to your hotel and rest. The remainder of the day is at leisure for local exploration or relaxation.
After breakfast, begin the journey back towards Sarchu, retracing some of the high passes like Tanglang La, Naki La, and Lachung La. Experience once again the vast cold desert landscapes, Moore Plains, and the thrilling Gata Loops with its 21 hairpin bends. Upon arrival at Sarchu, check in at your campsite or hotel and unwind. Spend your evening relaxing with a warm dinner and a cozy bonfire, sharing stories and bonding with your fellow travelers amidst the stark beauty of this high-altitude desert.
After enjoying breakfast at Sarchu, continue your descent towards Manali, riding alongside the Chandra River and through muddy, rugged terrains that highlight the raw beauty of the Himalayas. The journey is both challenging and scenic, offering plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Arriving in Manali by late evening, check into your Swiss camps, where you can unwind and enjoy a hearty dinner under the starry Himalayan sky, reminiscing about the incredible journey so far.
Wake up early, and after a delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel by 11:00 noon. The rest of the day is free for shopping or leisure activities at your Own With Out Cab . You may wish to explore the local markets one last time before your journey home. Ensure that you return to the hotel by 3:00 P.M., as our driver will transfer you to the Manali Bus Station. You will board the Volvo bus at 4:30 P.M. for your return journey to Delhi, which is approximately 550 km (12-14 hours). Relax as you travel through the night, and you will arrive back in Delhi by 7:00-8:00 A.M. the next morning.
